Footprint Building Ltd is an ethically-minded building company based in Bristol, with a sustainable joinery workshop , a building services firm and an eco-product showroom. Formed in January 2008, our aim is to deliver the highest quality joinery and construction work with minimal impact on the environment. We work for home owners, businesses and developers who value true craftsmanship and share our ethical stance.

Why we formed Footprint Building

Before setting up Footprint, our team operated at the top end of the building trade for many years. We'd seen what a negative impact our industry was having on the environment. We’d had enough of depositing vast amounts of waste to landfill, using toxic products and procuring timber from unsustainable sources. It was time to make a difference and meet the eco-build challenge.

A viable green alternative

We spent a year completing some painstaking research to underpin Footprint; as a result we can now offer a viable alternative: eco-friendly building techniques, materials and products that reduce waste, energy consumption and harm to the environment. With Footprint, eco-building does not mean you have to compromise on style. We can help you create a beautiful home that is energy efficient, healthy and sustainable.
