About Us
Footprint was founded in January 2008 by a team of developers and builders who wanted to specialise in eco refurbishment in response to the climate change challenge. The team have also set out to achieve exemplary standards of project management and customer service, challenging the more commonly held public perception of builders in the domestic refurb market. Footprint takes a whole house approach, combining different eco technologies during refurbishment to provide the most effective carbon and energy reducing solutions.
The company consists of:
- a Build Services team that specialises in whole house refurbishments that incorporate carbon and energy reducing measures
- a joinery workshop which, using only sustainably sourced timber, specialises in high performance, bespoke windows and doors, including period replica double glazed sash windows.
- a Warmcel insulation team. Footprint is an accredited supplier and installer of Warmcel insulation to the South West region.
As well as working for external customers Footprint also undertakes internal projects with its sister company EKO Properties. These include a barn conversion in Cornwall and three whole house eco refurbs (with fully SAP modelled targets of 75% reduction in carbon and energy) in Bristol. Footprint is also due to start its first new build in 2010.
