Footprint Building's professional building services team delivers high quality construction and renovation work with minimal environmental harm. Our team of skilled craftsmen includes builders, joiners, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, stonemasons, plasterers, renders and decorators; all with a passion for creating beautiful homes that make a positive impact.

The projects we deliver

Our building team works with home owners, architects and developers in the South West on a range of different projects:

• Restorations

  From artistic plaster work to stain glass, we can restore any part of your property to the specification of any period of development. We pride ourselves on keeping traditional trades alive.

• Refurbishment

  We are happy to undertake any level of refurbishment your property may need, whether this is  a single room or a complete re-build. We’ll design these changes with you or follow the plans developed by you or your architect to create the look you desire.

• New Build

  We develop new properties from scratch using the combined talents of the Footprint team. With a new build project, we’ll help you to create a home which meets the highest level of sustainability and craftsmanship.

• Installation

  We install bathrooms, kitchens and bespoke furniture to the highest specifications. We’ll build beautiful bespoke furniture for you in our joinery workshop or work with your own supplier to install it to the standards you and they require. Footprint has relationships with a number of local partners including Bespoke Kitchens and Ripples Bathrooms; we are proven installers for their product ranges.

• Lighting and electrics

  Footprint’s electricians can help you to update your electrics and reduce your electricity consumption. We provide you with a full assessment and a range of solutions. If you want to opt for something adventurous and require lighting designs or audio visual expertise, we’ll support you throughout the process, from design through to completion.

• Plumbing and Heating

  Plumbing and heating are areas in which you can really maximise energy savings. Many properties waste large amounts of energy and money on heating, yet basic changes can reduce this dramatically. If you want to upgrade your system we’ll advise you on how best to do this while reducing your energy consumption. Iif you would prefer to work with your existing system, we’ll show you how a few simple changes or energy-saving products could save you money.

• Decorating

  We choose our decorators for their attention to detail and their ability to deliver the finest finishes. We work with an extensive range of paints and techniques. Whether you want to hang beautiful wallpaper in a difficult space or require specialised paint finishes, our team can assist.

• Plastering and specialist renders

  Whether you require a basic plaster, in-colour polished plaster or lime-based render, Footprint’s specialists can help. We supply all materials and offer a team of highly qualified and expert plasterers to deliver the finish you require.

• Shop and office fitting

  We have extensive experience in the area of shop and office refitting.  We relish in the opportunity to produce high standards of work in the short deadlines our customers often require. We will work through the entire process with you, ensuring we bring the project in on time, cost and quality.

Specialist eco-build services

We will offer help and advice on a wide number of topics in the following areas:

• Environmental consultations for home owners, architects and developers - to help you plan how to reduce energy consumption and transform your home in a sustainable way.
• Supply, installation, maintenance, support and advice on eco-products (e.g. solar water heating, warm cell insulation) to reduce energy loss in your home.

Building regulations

We ensure that our building works are fully compliant with building regulations and, where possible, we work to surpass the standards set by building control, especially with regard to energy efficiency. We support customers through the building regulations application process.
